Education
Currently a PhD student in Organic Chemistry at NDSU in Fargo. Currently teach Organic Chemistry Labs at NDSU Graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a BA in Chemistry in May 2018 that is ACS certified. I graduated with a 3.0 GPA, both overall and within the major. I was originally a Biochemistry major, but swapped to Chemistry in my senior year.
Experience
I've been an undergraduate lab TA for both General and Organic chemistry. I worked for two years as a Peer Mentor in a TRiO program at the University of Minnesota, so I know the stresses new students face well. I aced General Chemistry and both portions of Physical Chemistry (Thermodynamics/Kinetics and Quantum). I got B's in Organic I/II and in Inorganic Chemistry alongside an A in the lab. My goal for getting a PhD in chemistry is to eventually become a Professor of Chemistry and I'd like to become more skilled at driving home concepts in multiple ways. I've been published twice in academic journals for research done within chemistry. I've presented some of that research at a national American Chemical Society conference in March of 2018 in New Orleans.
